Nancy Ticotin
 independent feature, “Encuentrate:Find Yourself”.  Television audiences are familiar with Ticotin's recurring appearances on such series as “Law & Order” and “NY Undercover” as well as “Law & Order : SVU”, “Law & Order : CI, “Law & Order: Trial by Jury”, “Third Watch”, “One Life To Live”, “The Guiding Light”, “As The World Turns”, ”All My Children”, “Fringe” “Flight of the Conchords” and “White Collar”.  She has just begun a recurring role, Cesaria Amaro,  in “Law & Order: SVU”.  You may have seen her in numerous Television Commercials as well.
Ticotin was an original member of the dance company, Ballet Hispanico of NY, for seven years.  Paris became her home for 3.5 years after performing the role of Anita in “West Side Story” at Le Theatre du Chatelet, following the first Broadway revival of that show.  While in Paris, she sang in underground clubs, made recordings and headlined at The Sporting Club of Monte Carlo.  She was the only mezzo-soprano in the 9-member operetta, “Great Day In The Morning” with Jessye Norman, directed by Robert Wilson at Le Theatre du Champs-Elysees.  The Zurich Operahouse employed Ticotin's talents as Anita in “West Side Story”.

Her first Broadway production was “The King & I”.  Others are “West Side Story”, “Jerome Robbins' Broadway”,  “Damn Yankees”and most recently, “In The Heights”.  Pre-Broadway workshops include “The Lion King” and  “The Capeman”.  Off-Broadway she starred in “In The Heights”, “Bernarda  Alba” (Lincoln Center), “A…My Name is Still Alice”, “ Wild Woman” (one-woman show): LA & NYC.  She played Aldonza in “Man of La Mancha” at Goodspeed Operahouse under the direction of the Tony-award winning director, Gerald Guttierrez.

Nancy was invited by the legendary choreographer-director, Jerome Robbins, to guest-star with NYC Ballet and play the role of Anita in “West Side Story Suite” at Lincoln Center's State Theater, a true highlight in her career. Singing has once again become the focus of her career, performing in venues in New York City and the tri-state area. She was director of Ballet Hispanico's  Jr. performing Ensemble for 3 years and now coaches privately.

Roger is a Sound Frequency worker, a certified master practitioner and teacher of IET (Integrated Energy Therapy), Reiki, Advanced Pendulum Work, and a certified practitioner of Magnified Healing, Esoteric Healing, and Matrix Energetics. The heart of his work is in assisting people to move into the fullness of their light by clearing the emotional and energetic debris blocking their way to harmony.

FEBRUARY 19TH GUEST SPEAKER: PETER GOLDBECK

Peter  Goldbeck, an International Healer/ Reader has been working with alternative  healing modalities since his first attunement, courtesy of Mother Nature in 1985 as the result of a Lightning strike. Peter had no idea how this “powerful attunement” would alter his life forever. He since went onto become a Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui system of Natural Healing, a Certified Practitioner of Reconnective Healing, and as a Clairvoyant also does Readings and Spiritual Counseling.

 

Peter has the unique ability to provide not only an eclectic group of healing energies but to help Activate and Amplify ones own ability to heal and maintain a stronger connection to source. It’s about self empowerment.

 

Peter has participated as Healer/ Psychic/ Medium at the New Life Expo here and the Tokyo Big Site Expo in Japan. Peter has also lectured at many colleges including New Rochelle, BCC, Lehman, Columbia  and St John’s University. From 9/11 to 2008, he participated on staff at St Vincent’s Hospital in the Integrative Stress Management Program and Bronx Aids Service. Peter has helped treat tens of thousands of World Trade Center victims.

GUEST SPEAKER: PHINEAS NEWBORN III

Born in Los Angeles, California into family of pioneering Jazz musicians, Phineas Newborn III carries on the musical legacy handed down form his father (Phineas Newborn Jr.) and grandfather (Phineas Newborn Sr.).  A singer, dancer, actor and choreographer as well as a composer and writer Phineas has worked for and with such stars as Kathleen Turner, Danny Devito, Michael Douglas, Van Johnson, James Brown, Gladys Knight , Paula Abdul, Lenny Kravitz, Prince, Seal, Sir Elton John and a host other celebrities.

 

His theatre credits include feature roles in "Aida", "Ragtime", "Cats", "A Chorus Line" (with Michael Bennett) , among countless others.  He has performed vocally with Gladys Knight and on the Grammy award winning, original cast recording of "Aida".

 

Phineas has made various television and film appearances including:  "Breakin'", "Congo", "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", "Fame" the 69th Academy Awards" and more...

 

Respected as a choreographer and a dance educator throughout the world, Phineas has taught some of America's premiere Dancers and choreographers such as: Brian Freedman (Brittany Spears, "So You Think You Can Dance") Shawnette Heard (Janet Jackson), Andre Fuentes (Brittany's Womanizer Video & Prince) & Travis Payne (Michael Jackson's last choreographer) to name a few.

 

Phineas is also planning to bring Paulo Coehlo's international best selling novel "The Alchemist" as a musical adaptation to Broadway.

 

At this time in Phineas' life, he is also inspired and committed to sharing his experience, strength and hope to all those who being face with life's emotional, physical and spiritual challenges.
